Middle Colorado Ag Collaborative Restoration Projects

Scope

Kissner worked with Wright Water Engineers starting at 30% design to assist with constructability, value engineering, and cost estimating. Kissner assisted at 30%, 60%, and 90% design completion, participating in regular progress meetings.  These two projects on Elk Creek both consisted of excavation; extensive dewatering; installation of concrete diversion structures; concrete splitter structures; 24″, 30″, and 36″ slide gates with actuators; manholes; 24″ parshall flumes, trash racks, fish screens, and davit cranes.

In addition, Kissner placed a total of 2,423 LF of 30″ HDPE pipe, 502 LF of 24″ HDPE pressure pipe, and 100 LF of 30″ steel pipe. Kissner installed buried cable for telemetry as well. The diversion structures were backfilled and compacted, and boulders were placed to create wall crests. Final grading and seeding completed the project.
