Scope and Awards

The Price-Stubb Diversion Dam and Fish Ladder was constructed in and along the Colorado River channel at the west end of DeBeque Canyon, running parallel with Interstate-70. The 500,000 SF site consisted of:

  • A new fish ladder
  • Concrete access passage
  • River channel reconstruction
  • Partial dam demolition that allows endangered species of fish to gradually gain access upstream

This project received a Gold Hard Hat Award for the Best Environmental Project in the State of Colorado (2008).
